I just found this video for the Foran 'Razorback' slip-ons. The site itself seems to be down so I don't have any more information at this time.

Hard to say how potent they are, and while they make a good noise, seem a bit ... flaccid

Link (their exhaust isn't the only thing they can't get up... seems the site needs a dose of Viagra as well)

Good lord ! It would take a team of artists forever to come up with an uglier looking pipe ! Can't imagine what they were thinking. Maybe "gee, we don't really want to sell many of these, how about we make them look somewhat repulsive?"

Are they unique?........No question! I've never seen anything like them. and maybe that's why our first reaction isn't positive. At first I thought they were a bit strange looking but now I'm warming to them. I think they actually flow with the lines of the bike. It also maybe the case that they look alot better in person......like the bike does.

I'd like to see more pictures......and more sound clips. I'm starting to think they are pretty cool.

Could we add these pipes to the sticky?

I'm really liking what I hear in the sound clip but it would be nice to see a video with sound to put it in context. Has anyone seen a price on these? When I look at the picture taken from the side of the bike I see the pipes flowing with the shape of the tank and rear fender. I like em.

$1450 AUD = $1341.94 USD

Foran exhaust = a hell of a lot

Wow. You gotta wonder how some are 1/2 the cost yet just as well made. BC's are as high quality as it gets and 1/2 the cost of these. Either someone has big dreams about getting rich quick or their cost to produce them is way too high, tho if thats the case i would think they'd just pass. Now if someone could find some miracle way of making their pipes pull an extra 4 or 5 ponies out of the Tbird above the next best model, then i could see it. Tho not with that flaccid (as thatch put it) end part.

I have rode the bike with shortys, Staintune and the razorbacks. I chose the razorbacks for the simple reason they sound the best out of all of them. They have a real deep note and sound awesome. The backfiring when you back off is unreal. Also they sound good when the bike is idling. I didnt like the style when i saw them on the net but in person they look really good and seem to flow with the lines of the bike and plus they are different to anything else.

Well I'll give you that. :)

I'm sure you are right about being better looking in person (a smartass would say how could they not) the Thunderbird itself looks a lot better in person than it does in pictures, especially the marketing pictures that Triumph released introducing the bike.

If you get a chance Nuzza post some pictures of your bird with the new pipes. I'd love to see some better shots of these pips. If they are good pipes I'd like to see Foran get some complimentary words spoken about them as well. They do sound nice in the video, a lot like my BC pipes at least in the video.

Changed my mind at last minute and went for the staintune pipes. My dealer did a deal for $1000. They are a bit quieter than the foran razorbacks and cost $500 less. The razorbacks would definately gain the attention of the boys in blue and thats the last thing i need. Ill post a video of the bike so you guys can have a listen.

Hey snake...glad you love your pipes. Thanks for the pics.

I spoke to Dennis at Foran and he mentioned he can do them with the same shape as the TORS and get the same sound.
I'm tossing up which I prefer. I like the razorback pipes because they are unique and give a nice flow to the bike, although I would prefer if the first section from the heat shield was a tad narrower and the tail end was a tad longer so it just covers the belt tensioner on the end of the swingarm. But I also like the look of the long TORS I have. I'm wondering if he would do them justice in a razorback version?

Any chance you could give us a video/sound clip of your bike with the pipes running ? Idle, rev and pull away ?

I love the deep sound on the Foran clip but would like to hear them from some one else . Keep smiling dude !

Lou

Heya Loubird

Did he say they would be the same cost as the pipes they are putting out now?

I would be very interested in that! I love the sound of the razors, but really hate the look of them.

Am I wrong or are the long tors basically the same as the standard pipes aesthetically with just the internals differing?

Was leaning towards the staintunes but after a bad review on here am very much up in the air about which ones to choose.

Cheers

Sean
